Description

Itinerant hikes in the countryside, far from any infrastructure, between steep-sided valleys on which cling Berber villages and terraced fields. The Berber villagers, mostly farmers, have developed an ancestral way of life between summits and pastures, by hanging their villages, fields and sheepfolds.

Day by day

  • Day 01: Reception at the airport of Marrakech - Overnight at the hotel or riad
    Whatever your time of arrival, a member of RedaTrekMaroc welcomes you. Beforehand, all you have to do is specify your flight details: arrival time, origin and flight number. In the case of delay, it is imperative to report it by SMS. Night at the hotel or riad in bed and breakfast formula.
  • Day 02: Marrakech, Aguerssioual (1650 m) and Tiziane (1700 m) - 4h hiking and 1h30 drive - Night in tent
    We drive to the Toubkal massif by the city of Asni before arriving at the village of Aguersioual (1650 m). We meet our cook muleteer who accompanies us for 4 days. We start our hike with an ascent to the Oudid pass (2220 m). After a break for lunch in the shade, we leave for the village of Tiziane located in a valley with multiple colors of soil.

  • Day 03: Tiziane (1700 m), Téouti pass (2400 m) and Tkent (2500 m) - 5h hiking - Night in tent
    We go uphill in the shade to be gradually under the sun before arriving at the neck of Téouti (2400 m). At this place, we enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding peaks. We continue with a descent and take a break for lunch. We resume our journey by a small ascent between the terraced fields to the bivouac.

  • Day 04: Tkent (2500 m), Tougdalt pass (2700 m), Tizi Oussem (1800 m) and Tamssoulte (2200 m) - 5h30 hiking - Night in tent
    We leave around 8am for an ascent without difficulty in the shade to the Tougdalt pass (2700 m). We descend then by a path taken by the mules in the middle of a forest of thuriferous junipers. We have lunch in the shade under huge old walnut trees along the river Azaden Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys of the Toubkal. We continue with a rise to azibs Tamsoulte (azib: bergerie in Berber) by a mountain path that ripples between juniper and cedar. We arrive at our bivouac next to summer azibs.

  • Day 05: Tamsoulte, Tizi n'Mazik (2490 m) and Armed (1900 m) - 5h hiking - Night in gite
    We follow a gentle balcony path towards Tizi n'Mazik (2490 m). At the pass, the slopes of Toubkal appear, as well as Jebel Oukaïmedem. The contrast between the green valleys and the arid mountains that dominate them is striking. We arrive at the cottage in the village of Armed. We dine and spend the night at the inhabitant.

  • Day 06: Armed and Chamharouch - 4h hiking - Night in gite
    Hiking loop, we start at the village of Armed (1900 m) to go to the place of pilgrimage Chamharouch, burial place (2310 m). We stop for the lunch break at the edge of the torrent. We resume our hike by a path in balcony towards our lodging to spend our last evening in mountain.
  • Day 07: Armed and Marrakech - 1h30 hiking and 1h30 drive - Overnight at hotel or riad
    Once our breakfast is taken on the terrace of the cottage, we realize our last hike under the walnut trees. We take the road to Marrakech to arrive late morning. Installation at the hotel or riad, meals and visits at your convenience of the red city.
  • Day 08: Transfer to the airport according to the time of your airport meeting
