Day by day
Day 01: Marrakech, Tizi n'Tichka, Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, Agdz and Zagora (380 km) We leave at 8:00am from Marrakech to the desert of south-eastern Morocco through Tizi n'Tichka (the highest road pass of Morocco at 2260 m). We continue with a guided tour of the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, UNESCO World Heritage, then continue to the city of Ouarzazate. After lunch, we continue to the oasis of Agdz, where begins the amazing landscape of the Drâa Valley: from a rocky and arid landscape to lush green oases lined with palm trees. We dine and spend the night at the hotel in Zagora.
Day 02: Zagora, Tazzarine, Alnif, Rissani and Merzouga (315 km) After breakfast, we take the road to the desert of Merzouga crossing the mountains of the Anti Atlas where we meet nomads. We have lunch in the oasis of Alnif then pass by the holy city of Rissani. Arrived at Merzouga, we will meet the camel drivers to reach our camp in the dunes of Erg Chebbi on the back of dromedaries. In the evening we watch the sunset, then we reach our camp nestled in the dunes for dinner and a night in the Sahara.
Day 03: Merzouga, Erfoud, Todra Gorges, Tinghir and Boulmane Dadès (285 km) Early wake up to watch the sunrise and enjoy the silence of the desert. After breakfast, we meet our driver for the oasis of Tinghir and Gorges du Todra. We enjoy an hour of stroll in one of the most beautiful palm groves of Morocco sheltering villages of adobe and kasbahs uninhabited. We admire the canyons Todra where we eat a Berber tagine for lunch. In the afternoon, we continue to the Dades Gorges via the road of a thousand kasbahs. We dine and spend the night in a guest house.
Day 04: Boulmane Dades, Kelâat M'Gouna, Skoura, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou and Marrakech (332 km) After breakfast, we enjoy panoramic views along the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses route Kelâat M'Gouna, a town renowned for its plantation and rose festival, before reaching the oasis of Skoura. We discover the architecture of desert fortifications and the lifestyle of Berbers living in oases. We have lunch in Ouarzazate and continue our visit of the kasbah of Taourirt before resuming the road to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n'Tichka pass.
